Locally dubbed as “Nakayama”, the Temple is known for a unique style of reciting scrolls of Buddhist teachings called “Ten-doku” (rolling recital), which can be seen on April 16 every year at the regular festival. In the springtime, the precinct is colored by beautiful cherry blossoms, and children’s happy cheers resound in a kindergarten located inside. Equipped with restrooms and a parking lot, it is about a 25-minute drive from Isawa Onsen Station.
