Kai Ichinomiya Daimonji-yaki Bonfire
At this festival, traditional Bon bonfires are lit every year on August 16 in front of the Ichinomiya Momo-no-Sato (Home of Peaches) Fureai (mixing with others) Cultural Hall. The bonfires, ablaze in fiery red on the hill of Mount Okubo in the character of ‘大', meaning ‘great’, are mystic and impressive. Equipped with restrooms and a parking lot, it is about a 15-minute drive from Isawa Onsen Station.
